It's almost that time again… the International Arts and Wellbeing Conference is nearly here, organised by the UK Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance. This year (because of the COVID-19 pandemic) the conference, usually held in the UK, is fully digital. Whilst that’s not great if you were due to enjoy the conference in person, it brings the conference closer to us in the Southern hemisphere. The conference team have invited abstract submissions for digital presentations., workshops, performances and films on the conference themes of Inequality, Power, Sustainability. Submissions are open until the 30 November, and contributions are invited covering topics such as:

  • Access to arts and cultural democracy

  • Community development, grass-roots and asset-based approaches

  • Co-production and participation

  • Funding and resources

  • Health and social care and arts and cultural structures and social systems

  • Health inequalities and the social determinants of health

  • Inclusion and exclusion

  • Informing a critical research agenda

  • Local, national and international networks

  • Planet health and people’s health

  • Public health

  • Practitioner and staff health and wellbeing

  • Resilience, prevention and early intervention

  • Social movements and radical change

  • Training, education and professional development
